Gift giving is a major part of our lives. Every year in the uk £160,000,000 is spent at Christmas with £330 on average the amount an adult in the Uk spends on presents. Add in the birthdays, weddings, new baby gifts too, that makes for a lot of gifts.
So where do you start with buying gifts?
Here are 5 gifts that I love and are great for giving any time of the year!
Letters
Lorra Creations creates these beautiful free standing decoupage letters. They can be personalised with photo or images of your choice and make great wedding or anniversary presents!
Along with her decoupage, you can also find box frames, clipboards, pencil holders and much more!
I personally have a pencil holder made by Lorraine for my 6 year old son and he loves it! Anything to help get the home work done!

Water Bottles and mugs
What's better than a personalised gift? For coffee lovers to little ones, these mugs and bottles are perfect! Especially when you have an unusual name like mine- Tilley-Anne, that you don't find on items in the shops, having something personalised with your name on is special.
These tumblers are perfect for the summer. They keep the drink cool for hours and also come with a reusable straw! They can be used with cold or hot drinks. Choose from a range of colours of tumblers and have them personalised with what ever you like in many colours too!
This Style of bottle has become so popular recently and when they can keep hot drinks hot for 12 hours you can see why. Again like the tall tumblers, they are available in a range of colours and can also be personalised in many colours.
Other bottles and cups:
May be something of the little one? How about a personalised Flip top bottle or tall plastic bottle.
Flip straw bottles can be found here and tall plastic bottles can be found here!

Another lovely small business on Etsy is Made by JenWren. Jen lives in Cornwall and handmakes all her stunning jewellery.
These titanium heart stud earrings have to be one of my favourite items she makes
.
Not only do I love her jewellery but Jen also packages up every order in tissue paper that make them perfect for gifting.

Marshmallows!
I could eat these all day! I love love love marshmallows and after drooling at The Fat Mallow co. photos on Instagram and Facebook for weeks, I placed an order! I can say they didn't last in our house for long! Food gifts, (and inpaticular Marshmallow gifts!)have to be my second favourite item to receive.
Memory keepsakes
I couldn't leave these off my list! Simply because keepsakes are so versatile for any gift! They can be for new babies, weddings, after the wedding made from the bride or grooms outfit, retirement gift, special birthday, Christmas, the list goes on!
Or may be giving a gift voucher for a memory keepsake! Then the precipitant can choose what they would like made.
You can find all the memory keepsakes here and the gift vouchers here.
I love supporting small business and this year I do plan on buying many gifts from as many different small business as I can (yes I'm trying to be organised this year and I have started a Christmas shopping list!)
